Ever hear of the miracle baby that survived a disaster? Or a building fire that one person made it out of? It always seems there are people praising god for saving that one person. Why is it, so many people lost their lives but people are thanking god for saving that one person?

More than 100 breast cancer survivors and supporters from around the Philadelphia-area are expected to join Keystone Mercy Health Plan, the largest Medical Assistance managed care organization in Pennsylvania, ‘Praise is The Cure’ and the Health Ministry Program as they convene a day-long celebration of breast cancer awareness. The program will include mammograms, health screenings and informative workshops focused on cancer prevention, detection and treatment. The event will also feature a “pamper party,” in which breast cancer survivors will receive massages and other spa treatments. In addition, there will be a gospel concert featuring Lonnie Hunter and Structure, the Brockington Ensemble, CeCe McGhee, a radio personality from Praise 103.9, and the Praise is the Cure Cancer Survivor Choir.

The day will feature testimonials from breast cancer survivors, information sessions about breast cancer risks and prevention, a workshop for men who are supporting loved ones affected by the disease, as well as on-site mammography screenings.

The event, which will be hosted on Saturday, October 2, 2010, by the Mount Airy Church of God in Christ, is part of the ‘Praise is The Cure Weekend,’ a George E. Thorne Development Center (GETDC) project, centered on breast cancer awareness and prevention.

According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated 207,090 new cases of breast cancer in women in 2010. Pennsylvania is estimated to have 10,000 new cases of breast cancer, ranking the state fifth in the nation after California, New York, Florida and Texas.

Creflo Dollar and Arrow Records present Heart of God, CHANGE. This eagerly anticipated album release is sure to wow audiences of all denominations, races, ethnic groups, and cultural backgrounds. Gospel recording artists featured on this project come together to combine very different styles of Gospel music. In the words of Dollar, this project “puts words to feelings that you want to express toward God in an extremely unique way.”

With the Heart of God CD, Dollar says, “People can expect to experience a level of authentic, heartfelt praise and worship toward God, which will bring them into an experience of intimacy as they listen to the words.” According to Dollar, “The music will produce a unique anointing that people can experience, whether it’s soulful, gospel or contemporary. And bringing all these unique artists and sounds together will display a perfect picture of the Body of Christ.”

Billed as the record label that produces “music that pierces the heart,” Dollar says the Gospel artists and music featured on this newest release will do just that: pierce the hearts of millions globally. “Arrow artist, DeLeon, is a melodic worshipper,” says Dollar. “Her unique delivery leads people into a place of seeking more of God.”

Also featured on this CD is Arrow recording artist, Jonathan Phillips, whose unique sound Dollar describes as, “flavorful rhythm and praise,” which is a unique combination of Christian rock and progressive pop. As Dollar explains it, “We’re looking for more ways to get the Word out, and the diversity of these artists is such, that they can sing so differently and each style presents something any audience will be able to relate to.”

Dollar says this CD, as a whole, is designed to impact lives and make music a tool whereby people will think about what they do. “They will listen to the words, which are the sword of the Spirit, and they will be encouraged, changed, and inspired.” Dollar also adds, “While I do support the words going forth more than ‘beats’ per se, I recognize that by being sensitive to God, artists can draw the unsaved with their secular ‘beats’ and prepare their hearts to receive the preached Word.”

Piercing the hearts of the unsaved and the youth; drawing them in with her eclectic, soulful sound has proven an easy assignment for Arrow’s newest artist, Jordan Dollar, who appeals broadly to teens and young adults alike. “Jordan is a bridge for young people from traditional to contemporary worship and praise,” says Creflo Dollar. “I call it ‘life music.’”

Dollar’s description of life music also extends to Arrow artist, Dorsey Hammond, a gifted pianist, songwriter, and also the Minister of Music at World Changers Church International. “Dorsey’s music is a propelling force of rhythmic and harmonic freedom that excites and challenges listeners to come into deep fellowship with God. And this is the goal of the Heart of God CD: to combine the various styles which will bring people to a level of authentic, heartfelt praise, and worship toward God.”

In his quest to find more ways to get the Word out, Dollar also delivers an electrifying, piercing, anointed performance on the Heart of God release by Arrow Records. He ministers the Word of God “on top of music” as yet another way to inspire and draw people to God and to church. Dollar believes Gospel music lovers will be particularly moved by the track, “Oh Lord Most High,” which he says sets a tone and atmosphere that ushers in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

As Dollar embarks on 2009 Change Experience tours around the United States next year, he affirms all who attend will get a taste of Heart of God “live,” as various Arrow artists will perform, bringing the CD experience in the form of the Word, music, worship and their various styles of unity.

I have no exact verse or chapter book, but it says that everything that has breath praise the Lord … and says, welcome … Nothing special about singing or music … Everything you do what you do to raise God is good!
